Chatroom Options Pop-up Window

  • Font Color - Click on Change. Select a color for a temporary change. Color will default back to what is set in Settings next time you log back in.
  • Style - Select a font style.
  • Ignore - Type in the name of the person you want to ignore. In case you should need to ignore multiple people, just type their handles separated by commas.
  • Image - Patrons may upload an image that is posted on the flypaper (side bar) in the chat. Once you are a Patron, you may upload one from your desktop by clicking 'Upload'. Images are limited to 100k in size and must be a .jpg or .gif file.

Settings
Fields on this page are saved so that they are displayed every time you enter the chat.

  • Chamber Link - This is where you enter the url for your character's information page. It will make your name on the flypaper (side bar) a clickable link that people can use to discover more about your character.
  • Tag-in Line - A line of text that will be displayed when you enter a room.
  • Tag-out Line - A line of text that will be displayed when you exit a room.
  • NR Exceptions - Short for Noise Reduction Exception List. Names can be placed in this field, separated by commas, to force the chat to display them for you in a normal font. All others will be displayed with a smaller font and without color. Useful when the rooms are busy and you wish to separate out posts only important to you.
  • Images - Toggle off to help with system performance of the chat.
  • Default Color/Style/Size/Font - Set these to be permanent settings for every time you enter the chat.

Command line Tools
A command line tool is a command that you type directly into the message box. The following commands are supported:
/me {action} Allows you to post a message as an action. For example:
  /me says hello
Would result in the following output if your handle was 'Bob':
  * Bob says hello
/roll {# of dice} {# of sides}

Generate one or more random numbers for use as dice. For example:
  /roll 1 20
Would result in the following output if your handle was 'Bob':
-- Bob has rolled 1 dice with 20 sides. Results: 7

/laston {username} Will display the last time a user has chatted. For example:
  /laston bob
/msg {username}; {message}

Lets you send a Private Message to someone else currently logged into the chat. For example:
   /msg Bob; Hey, lets go see what is going on in the Inn!
Would send a message to Bob that only he can read.

/memo {username}; {message} Allows you to send a memo to a user who is not presently online. When the user comes online, they will be notified of their waiting memo, and given instructions on how to view it. For example:
  /memo Bob; Hi Bob sorry I missed you! Let's meet tonight at 10.
Make sure you put a semicolon after the character's username.
