Leaders: Klujlopchool, high priest of Sea Mother Blibdoolpoolp.
Type: Religious Community.
Location: Beneath the Grand Loyle island archipelago.

The kua-toa are an ancient race of intelligent, typically neutral evil or chaotic evil fish men. They look like paunchy humans covered in scales, topped with a fish head. They have huge fish eyes, undersized arms and legs, and long, partially webbed hand and feet, with three fingers and an opposing digit. Kua-toa are typically pale gray in coloration; males have undertones of tan or yellow. They reek of dead fish. Their skin tone darkens when they are angry and pales when they are badly frightened. Adult kua-toa are amphibious.

Language: Undercommon, Kua-Toa, Elemental Water (among priests), and aquatic empathy.
Religion: Blibdoolpoolp, the Sea Mother. In her name the Kua-Toa sacrifice gems, particularly pearls. At the most important ceremonies they sacrifice captives and slaves, preferably humans, by drowning.
Climate: Warm and extremely humid, owing to the presence of the breeding pools and the aquatic nature of the Kua-Toa.
Resources: Fish, kelp, fungi, slaves, gems and minerals.
Flora and Fauna: The Kua-Toa farm fish, kelp and fungi in pools tended to by slaves, and illuminated by phosphorescent fungi. Giant lobster breed and live in the surrounding waters.
Known Dangers: The Kua-Toa, giant lobsters, other races present for trading, and the normal dangers common to the underdark.
History: Although there are numerous small Kua-Toa communities, Sloobujlip owes its status as the largest center for worship due to the excellent breeding pools and its location, central to the majority of the smaller communities. Founded by priests drawn there by the presence of the breeding ground of giant lobsters, an important symbol of Blibdoolpoolp, it has grown to be the hub of the Kua-Toa race.
