Flora and Fauna: The duergar diligently discourage any plant or animal life other than shraath from living in the tunnels around their stronghold, with the exception of what fungus, algae, rothe or other food sources they cultivate for their own use, and the giant rats that are bred for draft and guard animals.
Known Dangers: Rare volcanic activity, common underdark creatures, duergar, and other races visiting for trade.
History: Founded by the current kings grandsire, Ogglohagsh Kxurgkmath, due to the rich mineral and ore deposits in the mountain range. Another deciding factor in the placement of the city is the lack of Fyres in that area, giving the duergar an advantage over most attackers in that they primarily use psionics rather than magery. This means that in the city and its immediate surroundings they cannot use their magical abilities of Enlargement and Invisibility, but those skills are still trained and used out of the magically 'dead' zone. There is fairly steady trade with both drow and illithid.
