Every character will now be approved for a particular genre.

The character must have on the upper right hand corner the designated genre button to which he/she belongs.

The following are examples of the buttons:

Travel within the realms of Zatrikion is, for the most part, limited only by the player. But this will not be the case with other genre. The nature of Zatrikion is that the mystical storm destroys all technology, and magic is dependent upon the fyres. Wizards that have learned to use magic within Zatrikion would find themselves powerless on other worlds and those from other worlds would find themselves powerless should they find themselves on Zatrikion.

Travel between genres should be taken carefully, and should happen only on rare occasions. But we are not going to completely forbid it.

Characters traveling other genres will be designated as visitors.

To become a visitor, first a player needs permission from people rping in the new genre. This can be granted via /msg command. Permission from the RK is preferred but not necessary if an RK is not present.

Once permission has been granted to enter the realm, an appropriate reason for the transfer should be written up as an introduction post. This is the movement of a personality from one reality to another and there needs to be a reason it occurs.

When the character arrives in the new genre he or she will arrive as a commoner appropriate for the game. They will be a first level human with nondescript, suitable clothing. And nothing more. The memories and background of the original character will remain the same, but everything else including skills and abilities, even psychic ones, will reset to Untrained – 20. Even the most powerful demons, vampires, dragons and the like will find themselves as vanilla mortals. There are no exceptions to this rule.

No changes should be made to the character sheet. The original right hand corner button will designate the character as a visitor. All stats are now Untrained and therefore no new character sheet needs to be created.

To return, a character becomes whole once more back where they left off. Their mind is returned to their body back in their original reality. The other reality will be viewed as nothing more than a dream. Experience shouldn't be gained in any way. For example – a vampire shouldn't suddenly know how to construct a steam train. And details are difficult to focus upon. Just like with a dream.

Note – A character cannot ever be banished to a new genre. A character cannot be forced into a new genre to avoid conflict, entrapment, or punishment.

As you can see, it is very important for us to keep the buttons appropriate for our character's genre in place. A character's genre button will never change. And if it is discovered that someone is abusing this rule, it is an automatic 5 day suspension as a first offense.

For the time being, a character lacking a button will be considered from Zatrikion. But this is a new game mechanic for MyRealms, and should be expanded to all existing characters. All existing characters should place on their primary page (the one linked from the chat) the appropriate icon in the upper right hand corner.

• DON'T get fancy and redo the icon. We want it to be easily recognizable on sight.
• DON'T get creative and put it someplace else on the page. It must be on the upper right hand corner. If you use the template or design your own page, it should be there.

Even if you think the icons are ugly or don't fit your character page, think of them as a badge. They are an identifier in an expected place so there is no confusion.
This will make characters and visitors easily identifiable so to not slow down rp time.

Again, this is beta testing, and changes might need to be made. If we find that this feature is heavily abused, it might be removed all together. But we hope this gives each of you the ability to visit and test out the new realities, and hopefully find new storylines.
