Character Progress
After 10 weeks of play - A character may raise one stat/skill one level. Or they may add one
previously unlearned stat/skill at a 17. Any new skill or stat starts at 17.
A Grand Master stat is only gained on the One Year Anniversary of the character. The 1 Year Anniversary ribbon must be displayed in the chamber, under the Realm badge in the upper right corner, before adding the Grand Master stat. The Recognition Ribbons are found here.
Only one Grand Master Stat is allowed per character.
The New Grand Master rules apply for all new characters, including those belonging to New Members.
Members that are new to the site cannot have Grand Master stats.
Learning
A character may only progress above 14 - Skilled under instruction from another.
This includes characters out of registration. Too often we get characters that are 11 -
Experts without any sort of education. If your character needs to be an Expert,
then you need to supply a way he/she trained, learned, and became an Expert in his/her field.
Age Progress
Characters now have an age ranks, as follows. This is based off their relative age in Human years, not their actual age.
Child (Equivalent Human age < 13)
Adolescent (13 - 17 yrs)
Young-Adult (18 - 25 yrs)
Adult (26 - 39 yrs)
Mature (40 - 64 yrs)
Aged (65 - 84 yrs)
Very-Old (85 yrs & older)
To achieve a Grand Master stat in Body, a character must be of age rank Young Adult or higher.
To achieve a Grand Master stat in Mind or Magic, a character must be of age rank Adult or higher.
Anniversary Bonus
For characters that have been approved for more than 5 years, they get a bonus attack that they can add to one stat.
This additional attack can be in any of the stats, but the stat must be of level Master or Grand Master.
It cannot change, and must be displayed on the character sheet by a + next to the stat it is intended for.
If the Anniversary Bonus is applied to Mind or Magic, the bonus can either be 1 additional spell or ability with a single target
allowing the Master or Grand Master to cast two spells in a round. Or, it can be an additional target is affected by a single spell cast,
allowing a Master to cast a single spell that hits 3 targets or a Grand Master to hit 4 targets.
The 5 Year Anniversary Ribbon must be displayed under the badge and realm
in the upper right corner, in order for the Anniversary Bonus to be applied.
RK Sponsored Characters
RKSC are exempt.
Bringing back a Character
When a character name is changed out, for whatever reason, then added back, the current
registration rules apply to that character. Characters cannot be grandfathered back in with
previous stats. And characters cannot be grandfathered back in with previous spells/abilities
that are no longer allowed.
Outer Realm Characters have different stat requirements based on the realm they apply for. See Outer Realms Stats for requirements.
