What we are looking for in any character addition is any sort of danger
the character might provide to the role play at Mystical Realms. Characters
that are overpowered or illogical will be refused. Many times a character
might work well in a book, but could not possibly work in a chatting environment.
Specific Race Rules
| Therianthropes: |
All were-creatures (wererat, werewolf, etc.) must
change during the full moon, if in Auvrynon, Korai's moon phase must
be followed.
All Therianthropes must follow this template. |
Vampires:
|
All vampires MUST drink blood, no exceptions.
All vampires are undead, no exceptions.
All vampires must follow this template. |
| Ancient Children: |
Ancients are vampiric in that they drink blood but are living creatures.
They are a separate race, they have a heart beat and can be killed
like living creatures. Ancients are allowed into the Albatross and
are not effected by spells against undead. However, they are ALWAYS damaged
by sunlight, so they cannot be out in the open during daylight hours.
All Ancients must follow this template. |
Dragons:

All dragons and other large creatures (large demons, giant
squids, etc.) are not allowed as their large forms in the Auvrynon
City Rooms. |
Undead:
|
Undead of all types (vampires/zombies/ghosts, etc.) must provide
an idea of what their lives were before they became undead. They
also need to provide how they became undead (include sires and necromancers).
Undead are not allowed in the Albatross Inn. |
| Drow: |
Must give an idea of why the character is free on the surface
or else the character must begin play in an underground room. |
Those Against Nature
We do not like to see characters that go against their nature. But if
you want to play one, you must give a REALLY well written background,
full of information of the traumatic events that have lead up to the change.
Also, information has to be provided on how the rest of the race perceives
the character now that they have gone through the change. These include:
Good Drow
Fallen Celestials
(Celestials that are STILL GOOD but are cast out of the Heavens)
Dragons that go against their nature
(I.E. : If you want to play a dragon that prefers to spend its time
in human form rather than the mighty and respected draconic body it was
born with, you need to let us know why.
Or if you want to play a dragon that has decided its goal in life is to
massage people in a quaint little village rather than build its own stronghold
deep in the mountains, provide a good reason.)
Worship & Religions
This is a fantasy setting and as such, we don't mix real life religion
with our game play.
There are no Earthly deities allowed or Earth religions allowed.
There is no worship of Gaia.
Make up your own Gods.
We do NOT accept the following:

Characters from Earth (may be from an Earth-like
setting)

Any character from books, anime, movies or other
sources. No plagiarism. Come up with your own names, put your own
spin on an idea.

Characters that grant wishes (Genies)
Stats
All characters but a member’s first, start out in chat with any of the stats greater than 11. A stat may be changed one level after 5 weeks of play, with a limit of one stat per 5 weeks. Reviving a retired character is subject to the same stat rules regardless of what the stats where when it was changed out.
Stats may not be changed in the game via spell, item or prayer without clearly defining it in your character application and the following limitations apply.

Only one stat may be raised.

The stat raised may only be changed one level ie Skilled to Expert, not Skilled to Master.

The duration is temporary, 3 rounds and may only be used once per day on one player.
Finally
Your character will be rejected if you don't provide
a last name or
title for it!!
You must provide a second name for your character, whether it is a title,
surname or something else, such as Banta the Homeless or Zarill the Warlock.

Realm Keeper Sponsored Characters
An RK sponsored character is one that bypasses the application restrictions, such as a Demon Lord, based on approval by one or more Realm Keepers. RK Sponsored Characters may only play in the room(s) operated by the Realm Keeper that approved them and are never allowed in Auvrynon rooms. They are distinguished by a * following their name and must list the Realm they were approved for in their character chamber.

The Realm Keeper must leave a memo in chat for Thayne requesting an RK Sponsored Character and list the name of the character that will be played in his/her realm.

Then the member submits a Realm Keeper Sponsored Character Form linked below, listing the character name, race, description and what room(s) the character will be played in, for our reference.
